I want to tell you a story.

Back in 2020 I was bored at home, we all were, and I decided I wanted abs. Just for fun. Just because I could.

And here's the thing you should know about me before I go any further. I had been going to the gym for 10 YEARS at this point. Ten. Years.

I had done every workout. Followed every trainer. Tried every meal plan. Counted macros. Counted calories. Bought the supplements. Did the cardio. Did the weights. Did the abs circuits. Did the HIIT classes.

And nothing had really stuck.

I had a body I was happy with. But I just wanted to have a little bit of fun.

So in 2020, sitting at home, bored, I tried something different.

I started visualizing.

Every night before I fell asleep. Just one simple scene. Me lifting my shirt in the bathroom mirror and seeing an a toned midriff.

I held that image in my mind. Not for a long time. Just until it felt real. Until it felt settled. Like I was just remembering something that already existed.

I would do this anytime for 10 minutes everyday.

And every time my brain was on autopilot during the day - making coffee, in the shower, walking around the house - I robotic affirmed. The same assumption. Running on repeat in the background of my mind like a song stuck in my head.

And then - about 3 days in - something happened.

I was on YouTube and I stumbled across the Chloe Ting challenge.

I felt something I had not felt in a decade of forcing myself to the gym.

Excitement.

Not "I should do this." Not "I need to be more disciplined." Not "if I just push myself harder this time it'll be different."

Genuine excitement. Like the workout was meant for me. Like it was the obvious next step. Like I would have been weird NOT to do it.

So I did it.

And here is where the magic happens. Because it didn't feel like work.

Eating less felt natural. I genuinely just wanted less food. Moving my body felt easy. I genuinely wanted to do the workouts. None of it felt like the grinding I had done for 10 years. None of it felt like white-knuckling. None of it felt like forcing.

It just flowed.

Two weeks later I looked at myself in the mirror with a black nike spots bra on (not on purpose.)

And there it was. Exactly what I had visualized. Down to the detail. The 11 line. Clear. Defined. Mine.

I had done a thousand Chloe Ting equivalents over 10 years with zero results.

I got those abs from changing my assumption first. From saturating my subconscious with the new instruction so completely and so consistently that my body had no choice but to find a way to deliver. And the way it delivered was through inspired action. Through a workout video that found me. Through food choices that felt natural instead of forced. Through a body that was finally responding to a new program.

This is what no one in the manifestation space teaches properly. They tell you to affirm. They tell you to visualize. And then they leave you sitting on your couch waiting for results to magically appear.

That can work. But I would rather you get results rather than hold your breath and reality shift. Do both. Our goal isn’t to successfuly quantum leap. Our goal is the appearance change. Remember your goal.

Sometimes the universe drops your glow up into your lap. And sometimes it routes it through your real life - through a skincare ingredient a friend mentions, a hairdresser you walk past and feel pulled into, a workout video that appears on your feed at exactly the right moment. Sometimes you really just wake up with abs and you’ve done nothing.

Your job is to stay open. Follow what excites you. Trust that the universe knows exactly how to deliver.
