Yesterday, 16 people were killed in a terrorist attack at Bondi Beach in Sydney during a Hanukkah celebration. One of them was a 10-year-old girl named Matilda.
I've met Matilda's mother. She cared for my lorikeet twice while I was away - she's a kindhearted, sweet soul who showed up for me when I needed help. She is the carer for my boyfriend's grandma. I can't even begin to imagine what she's going through right now.
